The picture below, Deep Fried Chicken Feet, for some reason reminds my of my latest colonoscopy. Yes, I know the stuff to drink tastes bad, and  there’s a limited diet then no food at all for a period of time, then the humiliation. I had to sort this all out in my head then, a couple of years ago my doctor removed a precancerous growth during my colonoscopy. Since that time as I’m cured up on the table waiting for this exam I say, “Doctor thank you so much for helping me take care of my body!”

Yesterday, as I checked in for my colonoscopy a man at the front desk heard my reason for being there and said, “Why are are you SMILING?”

My answer, “I’m glad there’s a hole through which to check things out.”
