This picture is drawn in Crayola Crayon and called ‘Disappearance of the Woman and Her Own Two Stone Children and Clouds on Wheels.’ The a gallery used this image to advertise my show and sent postcards to their regular patrons. I was privileged to meet a woman who’d received a post card. She told me she knew exactly what ‘disappearance of the woman’ meant. She was a mother who had felt more like a function than a person for a few years.
The symbols of the stone children and clouds on wheels and trees hung from a chain have a meaning for me but can mean many things to others. I’d love to hear from you with your thoughts.
