Crucifix Box

Justice and mercy are bound and run through the universe together. The great Plan for joy is given to man; it’s like a map, and the freedom to choose and follow the map, or not, is given also. In older literature I found the idea of the “whipping boy” who pays the price, or is punished, for what an important person has done, when this person has broken the law or disobeyed parts of the Plan. Jesus Christ considers us important so He took our punishment plus He let Himself die so we too can receive our bodies back after death.

I love justice; I know no one will get away with being bad, they may during their entire earth life but they WILL pay later. Also the law of justice gives me a little pain when I make mistakes or disobey principals of the Plan therefore; I notice, and also the pain helps me change direction. I love Christ because He felt the sorrow for my misdeeds and mistakes plus He wiped them off Justice’s book as though they never happened. He paid this painful price for me in the garden that night before he allowed Himself to die. And if He had chosen not to die He would not have been resurrected and then show me how to do that myself, later.

The battered box is His payment to justice for me, and the cross is His choice to be in pain again and die, so He can help me into a resurrected body later.       nancymauerman.com
