John’s Dad Sees A Baby Before Its Born – Outsider Art

The older our culture grows the bigger our reality gets- just ask a physicist. John’s Daddy saw a baby coming down into a house next door just before the baby was born.

A few people I know have seen babies just before the little ones come to their homes, sometimes days or weeks ahead. Several cultures consider this occurrence regular, normal, and necessary. In the picture below the reflection on the man’s glasses shows a ladder draping down from above into a house.

“I’m no longer a person! I’m a function,” I hear stay at home parents, of small children, say. I felt the same way as I continuously flowed from one child related duty to another.  But then I started holding my infant in one arm and painting with the other and reading Shakespeare out loud to my two toddlers as they ate lunch. I was surprised. My children understood plots, loved the language, and caught the character development. They named our new, and badly behaved dog, Cardinal Wolsey.

We all preform in various functions, sometimes I drive, sometimes I cook, draw read for information, teach a class, I turn off painting a picture to answer the phone. Some times I don’t switch functions fast enough and answer the phone,”Tone down the red and add..”

I have a mental condition which separates my functions radically and one day my friend Amy was driving us home and attempting to give me a gracious, heart felt, compliment. She helps me publish my children’s books and promote my art pieces. I love paying her at the end of the day so I also give her two chocolate kisses.

Amy told me how interesting her job is…I thought I work making books and pictures. Amy said her work was full of variety. I thought of working four years on one particular story. Amy said, “I have a great boss.” I thought I haven’t had a boss for years and I’m a passenger in Amy’s car and I love seeing houses. Amy said, “I have fixable hours if I need them. Every day I do different things.  And,there are so may things to do I always feel I have job security AND I get paid in candy!”

I was startled, “What?  Where do you WORK?  I want a job there too!” Amy was started too. She said, “What?”  Her compliment hadn’t at all penetrated my separated functions.

Outsider Art – Electrospots Tesla and Wife

The universe is formed by opposites. The death of one form of energy is the creation of new one.   Opposites form this painting as the light female is cradled by the dark male and each of their edges create the form of the other. We see electricity against quiet surroundings, the shinny surface of the gold paint is balanced by a dull surface. The warm figures balance a cool colored background and saturated hues against mixed colors.

I was raised with a brother who was a Tesla fan and I married a man who echoed his passion. Both men loved magnets and had playful imaginations and wouldn’t mind the symbols I used; the wife (because Tesla wasn’t married), the magnets and dominoes tied to shoes, and the bolt of lightning.

My brother and husband have entered an after life world. As I wait to live with them again I wonder did their families there throw them a baby shower as they entered their new lives?
